The most frequently asked questions about Simplex Foundation.

Can foundations be calculated as a beam with both tension and compression, e.g. under a stabilizing wall?

No.

Does it include lateral pressure when sliding or is it purely on the underside?

Only friction below foundation is used (the pressure on the side of the foundation requires a significant displacement to develop, therefore we have omitted it).

Can you add more vertical loads in other positions?

This is something we are considering adding the functionality for. At the moment the solution is to instead add additional moments.
